*JUNIOR WRAP UP*
Despite there being no junior games over the weekend due to the AUS v SA ODI, it has all been happening for our “Gummy Sharks” programs!
Along with our normal training sessions for Stage 1, 2 and U13, Friday night saw our “Superest of Super Friday’s” with the launch of season 2018/19 Woolworths Junior Blaster program. Thanks to Cricket Tasmania & Hobart Hurricanes, we were lucky enough to have the Hurricanes Chariot, jumping castle and throwing target to keep the kids (and siblings) entertained. There was also the obligatory BBQ which was fully sponsored by Woolworths Sandy Bay (including all food, fruit and Zooper Doopers). Sandy Bay Woolies even organised 6 volunteers who came to cook and serve the kids! Go Woolies!
Going forward, we will now be reverting back to our Super Friday’s with the Sharks BBQ cranking for the next 5 weeks of the Junior Blaster program and the bar will be open for a refreshing end of week beverage for mums and dads. Training for Master Blasters, Stage 1, Stage 2 and U13 will also be going on as usual. Hope to see everyone there!
Last but by no mean least, Sunday saw 6 very excited Master Blasters have the opportunity to get on to Blundstone Arena and participate in a short-form Master Blasters program prior to all the ODI action starting. Everyone had an amazing time. Thanks once again to Cricket Tasmania for providing this fantastic opportunity to our gummy sharks.
A big well done & thank you to Tracy Louise Williams & Trudi Steedman who have put in a huge amount of time & effort organising not just the weekends events, but the whole Junior Program this season.
