Date of Event : Mon Jul 9, 2018 12:51PM

Sharkman is thrilled to announce Englishman Robert West as the Sharks Under 17's Boys Coach for the 2018/19 Season.

Rob is a 22 year old from Durham in the North West of England. Rob currently plays for Richmondshire Cricket Club First XI, which coincidentally is also the new home of former Shark Mattie McKiernan. Rob has his English Level Two coaching accreditation, and has also just completed a teaching degree at University. Rob has plenty of experience coaching junior sides at his English club and is looking forward to sharing his knowledge with the Sharks future stars!

Rob will also play for the Sharks this summer! Rob is a talented right arm medium fast bowler who has been selected in many representative sides, including the squad for Minor Counties side Cumberland.

In an exclusive chat with Sharkman, Rob said:

“Cricket has been a huge part my life, my family have all played so when this opportunity came up I couldn’t turn it down. I am extremely excited to test myself in different conditions and hopefully continue to improve as a player and be a part of a club which I have only heard good things about.

I'm excited to work with the U'17s. I’ve heard that they’re a very talented bunch of cricketers and I hope that I am able to pass on my knowledge and help them improve and hopefully be successful at the same time!"

A big welcome to the Sharks from Sharkman Robert West, it's great to have you on board for the 2018/19 season! Also thanks to CricX - The Cricket Exchange Agency for their support!
