Fast Bowler Kyle Wisniewski returns to the Sharks for Season 18/19 as one of the key members of the club’s bowling unit, and also part of the club’s coaching unit. Wizniewski is the club’s Bowling coach, and has already been working wonders with the playing group through pre-season trainings.
He’ll still go into the season with the main goal of producing on the field though, as he leads the club’s fast bowling unit.
“Last year, I was able to cement a spot in first grade thanks to some retirements and a few performances late in the season. This season, I’m hoping to step up into my role for First Grade and produce a consistent season. Hopefully I’ll help the team have on-field success…
“Also this season I’ve taken on the job as bowling coach, and I’m looking forward to working with our talented group of bowlers”
Sharks Coach Matt Clark spoke of Kyle’s durability and consistency over the past few seasons, and his new position in the Sharks’ pecking order.
“Previous seasons have seen Kyle shoulder the bulk of our First Grade bowling load throughout the season, only to be squeezed out at the business end of the season to accommodate returning state players. Last year out an end to this cycle with Kyle demanding selection in our Semi Final. This year, we’ll once again look to Kyle to carry this same load. Hopefully the rest of the team can produce the results that will allow Kyle the ultimate reward he deserves at season’s end”
